Each year, the annual LRE Forum, organised by the LRE Foundation, brings together members, partners, and tourism professionals for expert insights, networking opportunities, and dedicated travel trade events.
Following the success of the 2025 edition in Kraków – and earlier events in Aachen, Florence, Normandy, and Brussels -the LRE Forum returns in 2026 to Gelderland, the Netherlands, from 9 to 12 March. Gelderland is not only where the LRE Foundation was founded, but also hosts one of its main offices, making this edition even more special.
The 2026 programme – co-hosted by the cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen – encourages the exchange of new ideas and best practices through a dynamic selection of activities, including:
Engaging panel discussions about WWII history, memory transmission and remembrance
Networking opportunities with WWII-related organisations, tourism and cultural heritage institutions and travel trade operators
Organised site visits to local memorials and museums
